The Shad-Rapp Crew

On an Autumn night in 1989, six of the best hunters and fishermen from around Wisconsin were invited to the small town of Omro, Wisconsin as special guests to the Great Midwest Hunting and Fishing Expo. After a night of sharing stories and comparing records, these great outdoorsmen came together to form Shad-Rapp, the greatest musical hunting/fishing comedy band of all time.

Meet the crew....

Shad Shawalski

Lead Vocalist. Shad is from the township of Grand Chute, Wisconsin, and is known for his accomplishment of catching the state record crappie of five pounds, one ounce. An expert angler, he spends most of his time on various lakes across the Midwest and Canada. Shad's hobbies include deer hunting, fishing, and drinking beer (but whose aren't?). Shad's quote - "I catch pike. Big pike. And there's nothing like pike fishin' with a nice cold can of Blatz."

Charlie Polska

Musician - performs all guitar and bass riffs in their songs. Charlie, from Wausaukee, WI, is known throughout the Midwest for his expert bass fishing knowledge. He spends most of his time at what he calls the "bass-hole." Charlie's other strength is beer-guzzling. As long as the beer is Wisconsin-brewed, it is rumored that he can drink more than the rest of the band put together. Charlie's quote - "The Pack is back! Ya! You just watch, hey!"

Byron Sweeney

D.J., Vocals - performs all scratches in songs. Byron hails from Poy Sippi, WI, and has appeared on many regional hunting shows because of his expert skills. Byron frequently visits Crivitz, as it is a haven in which he can test his skills in hunting woodcock, grouse, squirrel, and rabbit. Byron has not eaten store-bought meat in thirteen years, and has four floor freezers full of future meals. Byron's quote - "You know it der, guy! For crimeny-cripes sake, hey!"

Earl Crap

Supporting vocalist. Earl is from the little town of Pound, WI. His talent lies in the hunting of large game. It has not been proven, but he claims that the smallest thing he ever shot was a ten-point buck. Earl is also known as the most eligible bachelor in Pound and is often spotted entertaining women in local taverns and bowling alleys. Earl's quote -"A strip of jerky, a case of Pabst, and thou."

Pete VandenBoom

Supporting vocalist. Pete resides in Fremont, WI, located on the Wolf River. In the past seven years, he has won twelve walleye fishing tournaments around the Midwest. Although Pete excels in fishing, he would rather be eating at any given time. His favorite is fresh game - venison, waterfowl, or any small game - to Pete, it's all the same. He has gained an average of eleven pounds a year since meeting The rest of the band in 1989. Pete's quote - "No. No more, I'm really full. Well, oh, all right - pass it over then."

Al Schlovotschlovitz

Supporting vocalist. Al, another meat-lover in the group, lives in the unincorporated town of Pipe, WI. Al's specialty is in meat processing, as he owns Pipe Meats, a popular "meatery" in his area. He processes most of the deer harvest in Pipe and the surrounding communities. Al is another expert hunter, yet he is mostly known for his 'famous jerk spices.' He makes great venison jerky, but will also jerk rabbit, squirrel and walleye. Al's fish jerky, however, is not good. Al's quote - "Hey! Which one of yous just beefed one?!"
